Just a quick one today – me and my Mum made apple compote using the apples from our tree outside yesterday and I thought I’d show you our results; it’s not even a recipe really, you just cut them up and put them in a pan with a little water and sugar and heat them for around half an hour, but I thought it would be nice to post about it, seeing as it’s made from home-grown apples :)
Hope you enjoy the pictures!
First step – pick the apples…
Second step – wash and peel them (and cut off all the nasties)
Third step – put in a pan with water and sugar…
Fourth step – finished compote!
Serve with literally anything, I had mine with some melon for a snack :)

it is special to be able to grow the fruit that finds its way to your tummy!
Simple, but yummy. Just the way I like it. Thanks. Kat :)
Honestly, these kind of recipes are the best. Simple, easy, and oh so delicious!!
Really want to make apple compote now! With cinnamon, and raisins and stir it into porridge.. :) xx
I did that this morning :D xx
Awesome, I love doing this with the apples from our tree, too! It’s what I look forward to every summer :)
Your mom’s apple compote is & simple one but it looks tasty though. I love to add some cinnamon or ground cloves for added spice!
